Fun in the Sun : Tahiti Travel Diary

Finally sharing some of our Tahiti travel diary pictures!!! We had such a blast in Tahiti – like seriously SO much fun. We were first at Le Taha’a Island Resort in one of their over the water bungalows. The kids were going nuts and were soo excited. We would pretty much swim and jump off our deck all day long. We did snorkeling, took a long nap on our raft, went kayaking, swam with sharks and sting rays. ate lots of yummy food and drank one too many pina coladas 🙂 so many fun memories made on this trip. And to anyone considering doing this with kids, they set up a net around our bungalow and had a gate that had to be opened to get down to the water – so I did feel really safe with the kids being so close to water. Also, we were literally just always with them so it was never a worry. I highly recommend doing this vacation with kids – we have actually only ever done over the water bungalows with a kid/kids and both times have had an absolute blast. Obviously it would be incredible without kids too 😉 but if you are like us and it was either go with kids or don’t go at all (after my Europe trip I am soooooo not ready to leave them again) – you won’t regret taking them. There is a direct flight from LA to Papeete that is I think 8 or so hours – which really isn’t bad with toddlers. And make sure you bring a big pool float because we were soooo happy we brought ours!

We also loved loved loved Le Taha’a Resort. We were thrilled when they invited us to come out because I had heard so many good things about it, I have several friends who spent honeymoons there! They arranged a scavenger treasure hunt for the kids, had fun toys for them, and were very accommodating to our family. And obviously as you can tell the resort in and of itself is stunning!!!
*This trip was in collaboration with Le Taha’a Island Resort and Tahiti Tourism – thank you for having us!
